Estate Chef – Full-Time

The Opportunity
A UHNW household in Downtown, NYC is seeking an experienced full-time estate chef to join an established culinary team. This role works closely with and reports to the Executive Private Chef and requires a chef who is equally strong in on-site service and structured off-site meal preparation.
The household is highly organized, nutrition-focused, and systems-driven, valuing precision, consistency, and thoughtful execution.
Schedule & Work Structure
● Five days per week
● Combination of on-site service and off-site meal preparation
● On-site days currently anticipated to include Monday, Wednesday, and Friday ● Typical on-site hours: 10:30 AM–7:00 PM
● Service times: Plated lunch at 12:00 PM and dinner at 5:30 PM on on-site days ● Off-site meal prep and organized drop-offs on non–on-site days
● Schedule subject to change based on household needs
Responsibilities
● Execute individually plated lunch and dinner service
● Support menu planning, sourcing, and execution in collaboration with the Executive Private Chef
● Morning grocery shopping and seasonal farmers market sourcing
● Off-site meal preparation and organized drop-offs when required
● Maintain exceptional standards of cleanliness, organization, and food safety ● Track inventory, ordering, and nutritional data using internal systems
● Coordinate effectively with estates operations and household staff
Cuisine & Dietary Framework
The principal prefers food that is vibrant, nourishing, and visually refined, with a strong emphasis on health and consistency.
Preferred cuisines include:
● Mediterranean and California Coastal
● Italian and Greek
● Mexican and Indian
● Persian-inspired flavors
● American Comfort food prepared in a healthy fashion
Dietary parameters include:
The principal enjoys high protein, low carb and low fat meals. General guidelines include, no refined grains or sugars, no gluten, no red meat, and no dairy.
Systems, Nutrition & Data
● Strong math and organizational skills required
● Chef will track macros and nutritional data for all meals, including trial meals
● Comfort working within structured systems, inventories, and digital task management tools
● Precision, consistency, and attention to detail are critical
Ideal Chef Profile
● Proven experience in UHNW private households preferred
● 2–5+ years of private or estate chef experience
● 2-5+ years of relevant restaurant experience
● Background in farm-driven, rustic, fine dining, or Michelin-influenced kitchens a plus ● Highly organized, calm, and discreet
● Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively within a culinary team
● Strong palate, professionalism, and cultural awareness
● Culture fit and cooking style are prioritized over pedigree

Trial Process
